    Why is russillo the first person to say what so many must be thinking? The media should not being doing this to this kid. They are embarrassing themselves. Are they clutch's puppets? Why is it so easy to make them put on this show? How can they do it with a straight face? Do they have any dignity left?

    People always think of GMs as being cold ans heartless because theu basically play with guys' livelihoods like they're trading cards. But in reality, it's probably the most emotionally taxing job in all of sports. Bottom line, they're job is give a team its best shot to win regardless of human connections. Whenever you get upset about a front office decision, just remember these guys had to live with it first before anyone. And then pull the trigger

    I’ll never forget when there was a stat about how mahomes had 1/3 of Troy’s tds in his second year and he said tell me when he gets 1/3 of my rings. Then mahomes won the super bowl that year and got 1/3 of his rings lol. Now he’s completely matched him and probably tripled his production.

    No Terrence Shannon Jr talk? I get he's 23 but he has elite speed to the basket and really good athleticism,6'6 as well. he will be the best rookie out the gate on whatever team he goes to. He's a great defender, not a horrible 3pt shooter but that could improve. His legal issues are behind him now and i just dont get how he is still rated as a late 1st.

That whole analytic thing makes you people sound smart but you have no fucking clue what your talking about when the ball is actually live.

    love you guys but I really think Kyrie's "growth" was mostly performative, he realized he had to reign in all his goofy BS after the antisemitic stuff and the disaster run in Brooklyn tanked his career, he's still the same guy he's just more subtle about it and based on his performance and attitude at the garden (getting into it with fans etc) he is clearly not over the split with the Celtics

    Every time you compare performances in the NCAA and professional leagues like the one in France, I cringe. It's obvious that it's harder to attack 28-year-old pros than future accountants. It's the same thing when it comes to responsibilities. Teams don't have time to tank, they have to win games, so young players have to prove themselves before they can play attacking for established 28-year-olds. In 5 years, Risacher could be the 2nd or 3rd best player on a team in the conference finals.

    The game has game changer. He’s a unicorn I’m tired of folks saying he’ll be a #1 draft pick in whatever era and not today’s game. 2 x player of the year in like getting 2 heismans… what are we really talking about? Don’t let him pair up with Wemby idc what y’all say. The basketball need to be put in a rim. He’s already better than Gobert who is a 4x defensive player of the year (best help defender of all time outside of draymond).

    The "celtics need to trade tatum or brown" take is the lowest IQ argument I've ever heard. There is no such thing as having too many great players. The only reason to trade one would've been to get a player even better, which is and was probably impossible. The only people to ever suggest that brown and tatum cant play together are idiots that hate the celtics and actually mean "celtics need to trade tatum or brown..... so my team has a chance to beat them"

    I'd like to add this to the Reed Sheppard discourse about his height. At the combine, w/out shoes on Reed Sheppard measured 6'1.75. Here are the heights of some nba point guards measured at the combine w/out shoes on, listed from tallest to shortest. Steph Curry 6'2.0 De'Aaron Fox 6'2.0 Damian Lillard 6'1.75 Kyrie Irving 6'1.75 Donovan Mitchell 6'1.25 Jalen Brunson 6'1.0 Trae Young 6'0.5 Chris Paul 5'11.75 Tyrese Maxey didn't measure at the combine, but the 76ers originally measured him at 6'1.5 and then changed it to 6'2 the following year. Similar can be said about Darius Garland, I think he might be even shorter. These are all great point guards, the only ones on this list taller than Sheppard are Curry and Fox by .25 inches. For what its worth, Sheppard outperformed these players for the athleticism drills (vertical, shuttle drill etc). Also his defensive stats in college are by the best out of this groups, with the 2nd most steals per game behind Chris Paul and the most blocks by far. I'm not saying he is a great defensive prospect, but compared to these players coming out of college he isn't anymore of a defensive liability than they were. I would not be as scared about him defensively as some people are, especially considering how weak the draft is.

    • @Rokz911
      @Rokz911 2 дня назад

      I feel like the argument you're making is about his potential ceiling. Unfortunately at his size, the issue is his floor and when you start looking at % of 6'1 players who are coming hot out of college there is a larger discrepancy of getting played out of the league or in a hyper-focused role. I.e first players come to mind are Davion Mitchell, Payton, TJ Mconell who have carved out a specific niche/role into a good set up. You listed some of the greatest point guards of all time in your list, that's an insanely high bar to hit or if your someone like trae, garland you need the right home and teammates to cover your defiences. I also don't take the draft combine stuff too seriously as athletic metrics don't really correlate to NBA games. I am high on Sheppard, but I'm curious which team will take him. I think San Antonio, Orlando, Houston would be amazing
